Kl. 8vo, newer leatherette binding, title with vignette, engraved and colored frontispiece with chess problem dedicated to Paul Morphy, XII, 563 pp. and fund list. Historical sketch, the games, blind chess, games from the problem tournament and various essays, which also appeared in “Chess Monthly”. Pages 251-254 in photocopy. This ex. by W.H. Gwyer donated to The Capital City Chess Club. The tournament was won by Paul Morphy to whom the tournament book, which appeared only two years later, was dedicated. LN 5184.
